As one of very few licensed accountants (CRC SP332816) in Brazil who are native speakers of English, the holder of a 4-year accounting degree from a Brazilian university, and a law student at one of Brazil's foremost law programs, I am uniquely qualified to help foreign lawyers, financial professionals and investors understand reports, laws, regulations, and other documents that come from Brazil.
Whether it's to help investors keep track of their investments in Brazil, monitor ongoing investigations, or vet potential business partners, I'm here to help. I am not yet a qualified lawyer and do not claim to be. I work with partner law firms in Brazil when necessary or requested.
Value-added translation
I'm certified by the American Translators Association to translate from Portuguese into English (ATA 534064) and have more than 5 years of experience doing legal and financial translation.
I am happy to apply my knowledge and offer high-quality "traditional" Portuguese into English translations.
But why waste time and money translating every word of a 100-page court ruling when you have a a native speaker of English who understands the Brazilian system? I can also offer English-language summaries of Brazilian documents, translating the most important parts, while explaining Brazil-specific concepts in terms that foreigners can understand.

Please note that professional translations are almost always done INTO your native language, so I do not offer English into Portuguese translations except in very specific circumstances. However, I'll be happy to recommend a colleague.
Price: Traditional Portuguese into English translation starts at $0.12 (USD) per word, depending on content and other factors.
English-language summaries of Portuguese-language documents are $125 (USD) per hour worked.
